Seven years building Python backends — the last five on a remote UK team, building Issuebear (AI agents as teammates) and TourAmigo (bookings for tour operators) with Flask, tests on everything, and CI/CD on AWS. I also built EnvShield, an open-source CLI on PyPI: 23 releases and 2,500+ downloads. Since October 2026 I've been building my own products full-time in Kriyonix, my independent engineering lab, while I look for my next remote team.

EnvShield CLI setup walkthrough in a terminal

EnvShield turns .env files into a real, committed contract — env.schema.toml — so a project declares what it actually needs. Everything else follows from that one file: validating a local .env against it, discovering variables the code reads that the schema doesn't know about, and reviewing how the contract itself changes across git revisions. Secret scanning is a supporting check, not the product's center of gravity.
