Hey! I'm Rabbil Yasar Sajal — a senior backend & forward deployed engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For the last five years I was a core engineer on Issuebear with a remote UK team: Flask services, AI-agent integrations, Pytest and Playwright on everything I shipped, CI/CD on AWS. Alongside it, the TourAmigo backend for tour and cruise operators. Before that, Django backends for an exam-prep platform and a compliance system now used by the National Museum of Science and Technology. The résumé has the details.

I'm currently building EnvShield, JossJobs, KemonChilo — most recently shipping EnvShield, a version-controlled configuration contract for environment variables, published on PyPI.

Day to day I work across Python, Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy, MariaDB, Alembic, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Docker, AWS, Playwright, Pytest, Linux, Proxmox, TrueNAS, and I'm currently spending time with Go, FastAPI, Svelte, Node.js, Agentic / LLM tooling.

Most government services in Bangladesh still mean a day off work, a queue and a folder of photocopies. What would it take to make them something you finish from your phone?

Outside of software, I run a small homelab — I like having things running at home that I understand and control. When I'm not building, I'm usually playing Dota 2 or God of War 2, or travelling.

I also run Kriyonix, a small studio for web and AI-powered products.
